Sports Photography

Wow! Taking pictures of moving athletes is a difficult task. I am pretty sure my lens really limits me, not to blame equipment though. I could use all the advice on sports pictures that you all are willing to share. I know these shots are not super, but I took them for my students. I hope they at least enjoy them. There are more that I will post later. And for my students, I will also hang some on my classroom door for you all. Go Cougars!

What a day!

I had so much fun today working with Lauren. We set out on a mission to spend all day shooting each other. I mean we did it all! We went to Target to look for accessories, and I discovered that my wonderful friend is a "de-shopper". Next we set out to get our make-up done, which was an adventure in itself. Once we finally got to our location we were attacked by killer grass! But it was all worth it. Lauren is beautiful and amazing in front of the camera. I can not wait to do this again!

Color shot

Today I got to shoot with Lauren Zaffos. She is amazing and I learn so much when I shoot with her. It was a quick session, but I got some good images. I really just love the color. I played around with the editing so feel free to let me know what you think.

Baby Will

I had the honor to hang out with my dear friends Mark and Alyssa today and take pictures of their family. Their son Will is so adorable. He can be quite the little ham. I actually have an entire memory card still to edit, but I wanted to post a few to give you a preview. Leave me a comment and let me know what you think.

I had some free time today so I thought I would practice taking self-portraits. It felt odd being in my backyard running back and forth from behind the tripod to infront of it. I was glad no one could see me. But it was a good learning experience. I am not cut out to be a model thats for sure.

Newbie

Hello Everyone!
So I was recently introduced to the blogging world by my dear friend Lauren Zaffos(who by the way took the picture above). After spending so much time reading other people's blogs I decided to start my own.

Photography is a passion of mine, but I am in no way a professional photographer. My main goal in starting this blog is to learn from the photography community. So please introduce yourself and leave me comments. I desire to learn and grow in all areas of life and can't wait to meet you.

Despite fear of rejection, I am posting some pictures I took for my best friend. It was 7 degrees outside and I could not feel my hands. But I love this family like my own, so it was worth it.
