Meet Valerie and Jon

This is truly a sweet couple. I asked them to do a photo shoot for me to build my portfolio and they were so great to agree. We had a really good time. Jon is in the military and Valerie works at a child care center. They are both very geniune people and it was a joy to hang out with. Please enjoy some images from their session!

What a beautiful day it was to take pictures. I had a really fun session with a couple that is in my Life Group from church. It was nice getting to know them and I look forward to spending more time with them. Here is a preview shot of their session. Come back soon to see the rest!

My very best friend

The first week of January my best friend, her husband(my cousin),and their sweet baby girl came to Abilene to visit us for a whole week. It was so great to have them here. The guys played video games while the ladies shopped. Just hanging out together meant the world to me. I hate living so far away from them. I want so much to be involved in their lives. Baby Isabell is growing up so fast and I love watching Dawn and Tim be parents. But God has really blessed our friendship and I know He will continue to do so. Some relationships were just meant to be.

So now onto some fotos before I get too emotional. We of course took advantage of this week together and got some fun shots. Here are my favs.

My Christmas Present

Look what my wonderful husband got me for Christmas!!!!!!!!!!!


Due to our busy schedule around Christmas time Andy and I did not exchange gifts. We decided to do it once we got back from vacation. Well yesterday all my presents were wrapped in wedding paper and waiting for me(they don't sell Christmas paper in January). I got several nice gifts include a cd, a movie, and car parts. Andy is really in to cars!

But I was floored to find this above picture inside one of my presents! I didn't believe it at first. I thought it was some kind of joke. But it was not. My awesome husband bought me my first MAC! I am so excited. We ordered in yesterday and it will be here soon. I can't wait to edit pictures on this machine.

The Zimmerly Family

Meet the Zimmerly bunch.
This family has been like a second family to me ever since high school. I have been taking their pictures since I got my first film camera my junior year. Thinking back on it, I do believe they were my first clients ever! Never anything fancy, just a couple shots of the family together.

This Christmas we took some pictures of them in their back yard. It was so much fun. Then, the girls and I went to some spots to get a few more photos of just them. I hope you enjoy these as much as I do.

Portraits: Dustin

Over Christmas back I twisted my brother's arm and convinced him to do a session with me. He really didn't want to, but he loves his big sister so much that he did not want to disappoint her. Photographing him was super fun. He cracks me up! There were times I was actually on the ground laughing so hard. He is a cool dude and I am so proud of him.

Happy New Year!

Wow. Can you believe it is 2009? Life goes by so fast. I am looking forward to this coming year. So many things I want to accomplish, places I want to go, and people I want to see. A new year is a great time for new beginnings. So start living!

My new year's resolution is to start getting out of bed earlier and making more of my morning. I hit the snooze button way too much. It is time to get up, read my bible, make breakfast, workout, and utilize the early morning hours. This will be tough for me. So help me out! Ask me how I am doing with this resolution. A little accountability really helps!
